S. Kardemir has announced its financial and operating results for the first nine months of this year.
During the period, the company achieved a net loss of 955.08 million Turkish liras (US$22.63 million), compared with a net loss of 3.95 billion Turkish liras for the same period in 2024, and its sales revenue decreased by 11.8 percent year-on-year to 48.19 billion Turkish liras. ($1.14 billion). In addition, Kardemir's operating profit was 119.61 million Turkish liras (2.83 million US dollars), compared with an operating loss of 1.38 billion Turkish liras in the first nine months of last year.
During the period from January to September, the company produced 1.87 million tons of steel, remaining almost stable, while pig iron production amounted to 1.71 million tons, a decrease of 1.1 percent, in both cases year-on-year. Meanwhile, Kardemir said its product sales totaled 1.87 million tons, an increase of 9.6 percent year-on-year.
