Ukraine reports an 8.4% increase in pig iron production in January-October 2025

In October of this year, pig iron production in Ukraine amounted to 692 thousand tons, which is 1.3% month-on-month and 10.7% year-on-year, according to the Ukrainian Metallurgical Association Ukrmetallurgprom.

In this month, the country's steel production increased by 6.1% compared to the previous month and by 7.4% year-on-year. At the same time, in the first 10 months of this year, Ukraine produced 6.48 million tons of pig iron, an increase of 8.4% year-on-year, and crude steel production during this period amounted to 5.38 million tons of rolled products, an increase of 2.2 percent year-on-year.
