The company's production target for this year remains the same — 11 million tons
In 2026, the company expects a further decline in steel consumption in the Russian Federation
Over the past two years, the share of imported products in the Russian market has increased almost 1.5 times - in 2024-2025, it has grown from 6.3% to 9.6%. In the first quarter of this year, it was 7.6%, in the second — 8.7%.
Russian Steel expects steel exports to increase by 19% YoY to 24 million tons in 2025. The maximum volume of exports by Russian metallurgists was recorded in 2021 — 31 million tons.
The Association has again confirmed the forecast of a 14% (6 million tons) drop in demand for steel in Russia in 2025, to 38 million tons, which is the lowest figure since 2011
