According to the American Institute of Iron and Steel (AISI), for the week ending November 8, 2025, domestic production of raw steel in the United States amounted to 1,758 million net tons, and the capacity utilization rate was 76.7 percent.
Production for the week ending November 8, 2025 increased by 1.0 percent compared to the previous week ending November 1, 2025, when production was 1,740 million net tons and capacity utilization was 76.0 percent.
For the week ending November 8, 2024, production amounted to 1,612 million net tons, and capacity utilization was 72.6 percent. Production this week represents an increase of 9.1 percent compared to the same period of the previous year.
Adjusted production from the beginning of the year to November 8, 2025 amounted to 77.228 million net tons with a capacity utilization rate of 77.0 percent. This is 3.1 percent more than 74.910 million net tons in the same period last year, when the capacity utilization rate was 75.5 percent.
