By the end of 2024, demand was at around 11.2 million tons, while companies in the industrial sector accounted for about 55% of total consumption, with the remaining 45% in the energy segment. In January-September of this year, the industrial segment accounted for 59% of total consumption, while the energy segment accounted for 41%, according to the presentation.
The Pipe Industry Development Fund (FRTP) expects steel pipe consumption to fall by 11% to 10 million tons by the end of this year, compared with 11.2 million tons by the end of 2024/.
TMK cites the hypothermia of the economy, the high level of the key interest rate, which limits investments and development projects, as well as rising costs and significant inflation as the main factors constraining demand in the domestic market.
According to a survey conducted by the company of regional consumers of TMK pipe products, in 2026, more than half (52%) of respondents predict a continued decline in demand, and only 11% expect the market to recover.
