Turkish steelmaker Yükselen Çelik announced financial results for the third quarter and first nine months of this year.
In the third quarter, the company reported a net loss of 34.97 million Turkish lira ($828,273), compared with 158.3 million Turkish lira in the corresponding period last year. Yükselen Çelik's operating profit amounted to 36.14 million Turkish liras ($855,858), compared to 130.96 million Turkish liras in the third quarter of last year, while sales revenue amounted to 251.53 million Turkish liras ($5.95 million), down 43.3 percent year-on-year In January-September this year, the company reported a net loss of 135.19 million Turkish liras ($3.2 million), compared with a net loss of 394.04 million Turkish liras in the same period the previous year, while its sales revenue amounted to 767.96 million Turkish liras ($18.2 million), up 49.3 percent. less than in the previous year.
