Egyptian steel company El Marakby has taken an important step towards advancing its low-emission steel production strategy by ordering a new 60 tph reheating furnace from Italian manufacturer Danieli Technologies.
The project is scheduled to be commissioned in mid-2027, which will be a key milestone in the roadmap for modernization and sustainable development of El Marakbi.
New superheating furnace to enhance the rolling mill's capabilities
According to Danieli's announcement, the El Marakby superheating furnace will be supplied by Danieli Centro Combustion India and installed at the company's rolling mill in the industrial area on October 6. The 60 tph system is expected to reflect the manufacturer's strategy to modernize operations and improve production consistency.
Integrated system to improve thermal efficiency and product quality
After integration into the existing rolling mill, the new furnace is expected to significantly improve thermal efficiency and maintain a constant temperature of the workpiece. This will increase rolling productivity, stabilize output, and ensure higher quality of finished products, all while increasing energy efficiency.
