Jorge Alvarado Rivas, CEO of El Mutan, announced that after successful testing, the complex is ready to supply continuous production to the local market.
The El Mutun complex consists of seven plants: iron ore processing, pelletizing, DRI, steel production, a rolling center, an electrical center and auxiliary services.
At full capacity, El Mutun will produce a total of 200,000 tons per year, equivalent to half of Bolivia's demand for steel products.
