CRC imports to Turkey increased by 38.7% in January-September 2025

In September of this year, imports of cold-rolled steel (CRC) to Turkey totaled 86,521 metric tons, up 23.5% from August and 14.7% year-on-year, according to preliminary data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). Meanwhile, the value of these imports amounted to $55.49 million, down 3.8 percent from the previous month and up 22.5 percent year-on-year.

Between January and September, CRC imports to Turkey totaled 800,254 tons, an increase of 38.7 percent, while the value of these imports increased by 15.9 percent to $519.28 million, year-on-year.

Cold-rolled roll imports to Turkey - the last 12 months

In the first nine months of the year, South Korea was the largest source of CRC imports to Turkey, which supplied 248,841 tons, which is 46.8 percent more than in the past a year. South Korea is followed by Russia with 229,312 tons, up 101.7 percent from last year, and China with 197,440 tons, up 46.9 percent from the same period last year.
