Ukrainian coke plant "Zaporozhkoks", owned by the Metinvest group, announced that it has invested 3.7 million UAH ($87,911) in the overhaul of the rotary-mobile stacker No. 2 of the coal preparation department of its coke plant. The modernized installation is operating again, capable of processing up to 450 tons of raw materials per hour.
During the overhaul, Zaporozhkoks applied chemical anti-corrosion protection to all components. The upgrade has significantly improved reliability and safety, and the interval between major overhauls has been extended by an additional three years - a move expected to stabilize the process continuity of the coal preparation site and reduce maintenance costs.
Stacker No. 2 plays a critical role in the plant's logistics chain: acting as a "guide" to the coal field, it automates the stacking of bulk material, creating even stacks in confined spaces and under adverse weather conditions. Once the major overhaul is completed, the plant ensures a steady flow of material into the coke production process
