According to the American Institute of Iron and Steel (AISI), for the week ending November 15, 2025, domestic production of raw steel in the United States amounted to 1.745 million net tons, and the capacity utilization rate was 76.2 percent.
Production for the week ending November 15, 2025 decreased by 0.7 percent compared to the previous week ending November 8, 2025, when production was 1.758 million net tons and capacity utilization was 76.7 percent.
For the week ending November 15, 2024, production amounted to 1,612 million net tons, and capacity utilization was 72.6 percent. Production this week represents an increase of 8.3 percent compared to the same period of the previous year.
Adjusted production from the beginning of the year to November 15, 2025 amounted to 78.973 million net tons with a capacity utilization rate of 77.0 percent. This is 3.2 percent more than 76.522 million net tons in the same period last year, when the capacity utilization rate was 75.5 percent.
