Swedish steel company SSAB has announced a strategic partnership with Sweden's EAB Group to supply fossil fuel-free steel, including SSAB Zero™, for use in the latter's core business areas such as warehouse fittings, doors and steel solutions.
The partnership has already seen EAB integrate SSAB Zero™ into the chassis of its Radioshuttle™ warehouse solution, which is used internationally to optimize storage and energy efficient operation. The collaboration underscores both companies' shared commitment to accelerating the industrial application of environmentally friendly steel products.
EAB CEO Per-Åke Andersson said the partnership symbolizes a shared vision of moving steel into a sustainable future, a journey they are undertaking together.
With this partnership, EAB is strengthening its sustainability roadmap, which includes cutting carbon emissions in half over the next decade. Integrating fossil fuel-free steel into its product lines aligns EAB's production methods and supply chain with its long-term climate goals.
