During the second month of the EU quota period from October 1 to December 31, some import quotas for certain types of steel products allocated to some countries such as Turkey, Taiwan, South Korea, India, Macedonia, Serbia and China were exhausted, while, according to the latest data from the European Commission, more than 60 percent of some import quotas have been used up.

Regarding the quotas allocated to Turkey, the country has exhausted its Quotas for rebar and other welded pipes of 95,531 tons and 38,535 tons, while the country has used up 87.33 percent of its quota of 110,203 tons for rolled products and light profiles and 93.15 percent of its 22,892 tons quota for corners and profiles

Looking at other exhausted quotas, India used up its entire quota of 227,781 tons for HRC (1A) and a quota of 19,251 tons for gas pipes, while South Korea exhausted its quotas of 37,973 tons and 71,880 tons for metal-coated (4A) and organic-coated sheets. accordingly. Vietnam and Taiwan used up all their quotas of 43,989 tons each for CRC allocated to the "other countries" category, while Taiwan also exhausted its quota of 13,551 tons for rolled tin products. In addition, Macedonia used up its entire quota of 26,524 tons for hollow profiles, and Serbia also exhausted its quota of 5,626 tons for the same product, allocated to the "other countries" category. China has used up its entire quota of 34,805 tons for other seamless pipes.

Meanwhile, India has spent 68.74 percent, 91.16 percent, 88.8 percent and 61.43 percent of its quotas (44,092 tons on electrical sheets (3B), 169,725 tons on metal-coated sheets (4B), 16,298 tons of tin products and 15,255 tons of wire rod, respectively. Japan has exhausted 94.01 percent of its CRC quota of 43,989 tons, while Macedonia and the United Kingdom have used up 96.53 percent and 63.31 percent of their quotas for pipelines of 7,110 tons and 9,029 tons, respectively. In addition, Indonesia has exhausted 77.47 percent of its quota of 111,358 tons for quarto plates.

Taking into account quotas allocated to other countries, 94.94 percent of the 106,036 tons quota for metal-coated sheets (4B), 72.69 percent of the 58,399 tons quota for stainless cold-rolled sheets and strips, and 61.66 percent of the 97,519 tons quota for rolled products and light profiles were tired.
