According to data published by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in October this year, the Turkish Producer Foreign Sales Price Index (PPI)* increased overall by 0.90 percent compared to September and by 28.75 percent year-on-year, while an average increase of 25.13 percent was recorded over the past 12 months.
In this month, foreign producer sales prices in Turkish domestic steel industry increased by 1.61 percent year on year and grew by 19.64 percent over the same month in 2024. Meanwhile, the average price increase over the past 12 months was 19.43 percent.
On the other hand, in October, Turkish producers' external prices for domestic steel products, excluding machinery, increased by 0.59 percent compared to September and increased by 28.12 percent year on year. At the same time, the average price increase over the past 12 months was 25.16%.
