SunCoke CEO Catherine Gates said: "This contract confirms the long-term partnership between SunCoke and Cleveland-Cliffs. We are pleased to continue supplying coke from our Haverhill plant to Cliffs Blast furnaces."
The agreement underscores the firm commitment of the two companies to maintaining stable supplies of raw materials for blast furnaces. The Haverhill SunCoke coke plant with a capacity of 1.1 million tons per year uses innovative heat recovery technology that captures excess heat to produce steam or electricity.
