Annual indicators of the Chilean economy increased in September
The Central Bank of Chile reported that the country's economy grew by 3.2 percent in September 2025 compared to September 2024, as shown by the IMACEC index.The production of goods increased by 0.5 percent, mining activity decreased by 2.2 percent, manufacturing expanded by 4.0 percent, trading activity increased by 10.8 percent, and the service sector grew by 3.3 percent. On a monthly basis, the IMACEC index increased by 0.5 percent from August to September 2025. During this period, the production of goods increased by 0.4 percent, mining activity increased by 3.2 percent, manufacturing decreased by 2.0 percent, trading activity increased by 1.0 percent, and the service sector increased by 0.5 percent. The services sector was the main driver of the index's growth, adding 1.6 percentage points to an overall increase of 3.2 percent, followed by trading activity, which added 1.0 percentage points. The Monthly Economic Activity Index (IMACEC) is an indicator of changes in Chile's gross domestic product (GDP).
