According to the monthly survey of industry confidence published by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), the index of confidence in the Turkish construction sector increased in November this year by 1.5 percent to 84.9 points compared to the previous month.
According to indexes based on individual questions asked to the heads of Turkish construction sector enterprises that own private businesses with 10 or more employees, the confidence index in construction activity recorded in the last three months decreased by 1.1 percent to 87.5 points month-on-month.
In November, the current total subindex of order portfolios increased by 0.1 percent to 77.1 points, while the subindex of total employment expectations for the next three months increased by 2.7 percent to 92.7 points compared to the previous month.
Meanwhile, in this month, managers' expectations of sales prices in the next three months fell 0.3 percent month-on-month to 113.0 points.
*The values of the industry confidence index range from zero to 200. When the index is above 100, it indicates an optimistic outlook for the current and future period of the sector, when it is below 100, it indicates a pessimistic outlook.
