In January-October of this year, Georgia’s total foreign trade turnover with Turkey, which is the country’s largest trading partner, amounted to $2.53 billion, including imports of $2.26 billion (an increase of 1.8%) and exports of $270.8 million (a decrease of 35.0%) on an annualized basis, according to preliminary data from the National Statistical Office of Georgia (Gestat)
.In the first 10 months, Georgia's imports of iron or non-alloy steel rods from Turkey amounted to 118,091 tons, compared to 2,435 tons in the corresponding period last year. Meanwhile, the value of these imports was $69.09 million, an increase from $1.69 million in January-October 2024
