The China Iron and Steel Association (CISA) announced that in mid-November (November 11-20) this year, the average cumulative daily crude steel output of large and medium-sized steel mills in China - all CISA members - was 1.943 million tons, up 0.9 percent from early November (November 1-10) this year.
In early November, the average daily output of large steel mills and medium-sized steel enterprises in China amounted to 1.926 million tons, which is 6.0 percent more than at the end of October (October 21-31) this year.
Inventory levels of large and medium-sized steel enterprises in China increased during the period. As of November 20, finished steel inventories of China's large and medium-sized iron and steel enterprises totaled 15.61 million tons, an increase of 0.8 percent compared to November 10.
