The pipeline stretches for approximately 88 km and is designed to transport LNG or other energy resources, increasing the sustainability of Germany's energy infrastructure.
The large diameter pipes produced at EUROPIPE, measuring 1422 mm × 21 mm, 23.5 mm and 28.5 mm, meet the highest requirements for strength, operational safety and durability, thereby ensuring reliable and efficient energy transmission.
Strategic importance in the context of Europe's energy transition
Energy transportation pipelines such as ETL182 are playing an increasingly important role in European efforts to secure gas and hydrogen supplies, diversify energy routes, and reduce reliance on individual sources.
Thus, this initiative positions Germany - and, consequently, Europe. - it is better to solve energy supply problems, maintain LNG or hydrogen logistics, and advance energy transition goals without compromising security of supply.
EUROPIPE has an annual capacity of up to 1.4 million tons or 3,000 km of pipes.
