The production of base metals in Taiwan in October 2025 decreased by 1.17 percent compared to September

Taiwan's industrial production index in October this year decreased by 1.03 percent from the previous month and grew by 14.50 percent year-on-year, according to the country's Ministry of Economy (MOEA). Meanwhile, Taiwan's seasonally adjusted industrial production index fell by 0.89 percent month-on-month and increased by 14.0 percent year-on-year.

In this month, industrial production in the country's main metalworking sector fell by 1.17 percent, while output of metal products fell by 6.06 percent compared to the previous month. In addition, year-on-year in October, the production volume of the main metalworking sector decreased by 2.89 percent, while the production volume of metal products decreased by 1.16 percent.

Meanwhile, in October, production in Taiwan's machinery and equipment increased by 7.11 percent, while production in the automotive industry decreased by 8.05 percent year-on-year.
