India's Hi-Tech Pipes limited has commenced commercial production at its abandoned steel pipe plant in the western state of Gujarat, the company said in a statement on Thursday, November 27.
The new facility expands the company's capabilities in the production of large diameter ERW pipes, hollow sections and structural grade products aimed at strategically serving the solar, manufacturing, engineering and infrastructure sectors of the western region, it said company.
With this commissioning, the total consolidated capacity of Hi-Tech Pipes will increase to 850,000 tons per year. Developed using modern technology and logistics advantages, the expansion is expected to improve supply efficiency, increase the supply of value-added products and support future export growth.
