According to preliminary foreign trade statistics compiled by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in October this year, the value of iron and steel imports to Turkey fell by 15.0 percent year-on-year, amounting to $1.67 billion. In this month, iron and steel ranked sixth among the country's most imported goods in value terms. In the first 10 months of this year, the value of iron and steel imports to Turkey amounted to $18.41 billion, a decrease of 4.8 percent compared to the same period in 2024.
