The Collision Avoidance System is being actively implemented at Gross, which makes the operation of heavy equipment even safer. The giant dump truck now doesn’t just drive - it “sees” an approaching car around the corner and gives a signal itself.
What’s inside one set?
GPS/Glonass module that knows where each car is with an accuracy of a meter;
UWB detectors - transmit the coordinates of other tags;
light and sound annunciator.
In total, 183 will be equipped units of heavy equipment: dump trucks, excavators, loaders, bulldozers, motor graders, as well as 80 units of passenger and cargo vehicles. Installation of the kits and industrial testing will be completed before the end of the year.
