The value of exports of non-ferrous metals from South Africa decreased by 19.9 percent in January-October 2025.
According to data released by the South African Revenue Service (SARS), in October of this year, the value of exports of base metals and products made from them from South Africa amounted to 14.99 billion South African rand (878.02 million dollars), which is 19.1 percent more than in September. In the period from January to October, the value of exports of base metals and products made from them from South Africa decreased by 19.9 percent year-on-year to 142.45 billion South African rand (8.34 billion US dollars). Imports of base metals and products made from them to South Africa in the first ten months of 2025 decreased by four percent year-on-year to 80.96 billion South African rand (4.74 billion US dollars).
