Vietnamese steelmaker Hoa Phat Group announced sales results for December and full year 2025.
Last December, the company sold 585,000 tons of construction and high-grade steel, up 52 percent year-on-year. Of this, construction steel sales accounted for 525,000 tons, and the share of high-grade steel was about 60,000 tons.
All Hoa Phat Steel branches and regions achieved significant year-on-year growth. In the south alone, sales exceeded 100,000 tons, double the December 2024 figure. This is the highest level ever achieved by Hoa Phat construction steel in this market. Strong construction steel sales in December were driven by several factors: government investment projects such as highways and airports accelerated the pace of construction, and demand in the civil market was favorable. In addition, strategies to strengthen the distribution system and expand sales in the southern region have also contributed to the growth in sales volume recently.
In 2025, Hoa Phat's sales of construction and high-quality steel totaled 4.85 million tons, exceeding the target set for the year and an increase of eight percent compared to 2024. Of this, the southern market accounted for almost 900,000 tons, an increase of 24 percent compared to that recorded in 2024. Hoa Phat has strengthened its position as a leading market share in Vietnam with a share of over 36 percent.
Hoa Phat is actively pursuing its project to build a rail and special steel plant in Dung Quat, with the first products scheduled to be launched in the market in 2027, as previously reported. SteelOrbis .
