Brazil exported 762,400 tons of slabs in December versus 641,500 tons in November, according to SECEX data.
In December, Ternium exported 183,700 tons of slabs at a price of $540 per ton to the United States and 136,900 tons at a price of $552 per ton to the United States. Uruguay, while ArcelorMittal Tubarão shipped 155,000 tons at a price of USD 506 per ton to the United States, 63,500 tons at a price of USD467 per ton to France, 51,800 tons at a price of USD463 per ton to Mexico and 30,100 tons at a price of USD 482 per ton to Argentina, all on FOB terms
.ArcelorMittal Pecem exported 52,900 tons at a price of 448 US dollars per ton to Turkey, 40,300 tons at a price of 440 US dollars per ton to Poland, 28,900 tons at a price of 470 US dollars per ton to Switzerland and 5,000 tons at a price of 495 US dollars per ton to the United States, and the company Gerdau exported 14,300 tons to China at $314 per ton, certainly not the market price.
In 2025, Brazil exported a total of 6.814 million tons of slabs, at an average price of $524 per ton, which is comparable to 5.515 million tons at a price of $635 per ton in 2024, also on FOB terms.
