On December 23, the company temporarily suspended production after a complete loss of power supply following large-scale Russian attacks on the country's energy infrastructure, as previously reportedSteelOrbis.
Emergency response and safe shutdown
The company stated that its team reacted promptly and in a coordinated manner, implementing anti-crisis measures to ensure a safe shutdown of the equipment. According to the statement, the actions of the staff and coordination with regional energy services prevented man-made accidents, despite the sudden loss of electricity.
Stabilization of internal power systems
Zaporizhstal reported that employees are currently working to stabilize the plant's internal power grid. With limited power supply, routine maintenance work is being carried out at key installations to prepare for a phased and safe restart of production.
The company stressed that a complete restart of production will be possible only after the restoration of external power supply, while all processes will resume in stages.
