In November 2025, imports of slabs to Turkey totaled 382,460 metric tons, an increase of 60.1 percent compared to October and a decrease of 28.0 percent year-on-year, according to preliminary data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). Meanwhile, revenue from these imports amounted to $177.29 million, an increase of 60.1% compared to the previous month and a decrease of 31.4% year-on-year.
In the period from January to November 2025, the import of slabs to Turkey amounted to 3.60 million tons, which is 0.2 percent less, while the value of these imports decreased by 10.3 percent to $1.73 billion, year-on-year.

During the specified period, Russia was the largest source of slab imports to Turkey, which supplied 1.84 million tons, which is 26.5% more than last year. Russia was followed by Malaysia with 777,592 tons, which is 38.5% less, and Algeria with 561,103 tons, which is 345.2% more.
