Last December, shipments of iron ore from the Australian Port Hedland increased by 6.7 percent month-on-month and 6.9 percent year-on-year, totaling 50,900,012 tons.
According to information published by the Port Authority Port Hedland, iron ore shipments from Port Hedland shipments to China totaled 42.96 million tons, up 1.9 percent from the previous month and up 2.9 percent year-on-year. South Korea and Japan followed China in December, receiving 4.46 million tons and 1.58 million tons, respectively.
On the other hand, iron ore shipments from Port Dampier increased by 5.3% month-on-month in December and decreased by 8.4% year-on-year to 13.72 million tons.
