According to data published by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), new car registrations in Turkey increased by 35.5 percent month-on-month in December this year and grew by 3.8 percent year-on-year to 248,205 units.
New passenger car registrations in December stood at 147,173 units, up 53.3 percent year-on-year. from November and up 35.3 percent year on year. Passenger vehicles accounted for 59.3 percent of total new vehicle registrations in a given month.
On the other hand, new small truck registrations in December totaled 32,113 units, up 37.5 percent month-on-month and 49.6 percent year-over-year. Small truck registrations accounted for 12.9 percent of total new registrations in a given month.
