In the quarter, the company reported a net loss of €11 million, compared with a net profit of €167 million recorded in the same quarter of the previous fiscal year, while sales revenue totaled €8.38 billion, down two percent year-on-year. Additionally, thyssenkrupp's EBITDA in the same quarter was €245 million, compared to €468 million recorded in the second quarter of fiscal year 2024-25.
In the second quarter, orders in the company's steel division totaled €2.73 billion, compared with €2.78 billion recorded in the same quarter of the previous fiscal year, while its sales decreased 5.7% year-on-year to €2.49 billion. In addition, the adjusted EBIT of the steel division was €84 million, compared with an adjusted EBIT loss of €23 million in the second quarter of fiscal year 2024-25.
For the entire fiscal year 2025-26, thyssenkrupp still expects a net profit of 400-800 million euros
The company said it improved its operating performance in the second quarter of fiscal year 2025-26, despite what it described as an ever-challenging market environment. In addition, its steel division was identified as the largest contributor to improved profits, despite lower sales revenues, mainly due to a reduction in raw materials.
