According to the Argentine Association of vehicle Manufacturers ADEFA, 31,189 passenger cars and light commercial vehicles were produced in the country in July, compared with 37,029 units in June.
Exports decreased by 4.5% to 23,377 units, while domestic sales fell by 22.4% to 34,178 units.
Compared to July 2025, in July 2026, production decreased by 16%, exports increased by 28.3%, and sales in the domestic market fell by 31.9%.
In the first seven months of 2026, compared to the same period in 2025, production decreased by 18% to 235,837 units, exports increased by 1.6% to 150,370 units, and sales in the domestic market decreased by 24.9% to 262,307 units.
ADEFA President Rodrigo Perez Graziano said that the July results reflect the ongoing reorganization of the industry, with production adjusting to inventory levels in the supply chain and domestic market conditions.
He added that exports remain the main driver of growth in the sector after increasing by 28.3% year-on-year in July and strengthening their role as the main support for activity this year.
