The number of active rigs in the United States rose by one to 604 in the week ended November 6, 2026, according to Baker Hughes.
The number of rigs drilling for gas increased by one to 131, and the number drilling for oil also rose by one, to 463. The total US rig count was up by 56 year over year.
Canada’s rig count fell by three to 223 over the week. It was still 32 higher than in the same period a year earlier.
