Argentine manufacturers produced 40,426 cars and light commercial vehicles in October, up 1.7% from September. Exports and domestic sales declined, the Argentine vehicle manufacturers’ association ADEFA said.
Exports fell 1.5% month over month to 27,793 vehicles, while domestic sales dropped 9% to 39,333. Compared with October 2025, production was down 14.4%, exports fell 6.2% and sales slipped 12.2%.
From January to October, output totaled 360,444 vehicles, 15.5% lower than in the same period a year earlier. Exports edged up 0.6% to 230,865 vehicles, while domestic sales fell 23.2% to 383,922.
ADEFA President Rodrigo Perez Graziano called exports a “strategic pillar for the industry” and said companies need equal competitive conditions to expand their presence in international markets.
“It is important to keep advancing a sectoral agenda developed jointly by the public and private sectors,” Perez Graziano said.
He also welcomed a measure announced by the economy minister that would allow companies to use credit balances to settle customs debts.
