The US Department of Commerce has preliminarily found that certain oil country tubular goods (OCTG) from Taiwan were, or were likely to be, sold in the US at less than fair value. The investigation period runs from April 1, 2025, through March 31, 2026.
The department calculated preliminary dumping margins of 51.19% for Shin Yang Steel Co. Ltd. and 54.74% for Tension Steel Industries Co., Ltd., the two producers and exporters examined individually. The rate for all other companies is 52.43%, the weighted average of the margins calculated for the two respondents.
At the companies’ request, Commerce postponed its final determination, which is due no later than 135 days after publication of the preliminary determination. The period for provisional measures has been extended from four months to up to six months.
