The Canadian International Trade Tribunal has launched an expiry review of antidumping and countervailing duties on certain carbon and alloy steel line pipe from China.
The Canada Border Services Agency must make its determination by April 1, 2027. It will assess whether ending the duties is likely to lead to the continuation or resumption of dumping or subsidizing of the imports. The agency is due to issue its statement of reasons by April 16, 2027.
The current antidumping duty is 351.4 percent of the export price, while the countervailing duty is RMB 989.97 per metric ton. The products are covered by a range of tariff classifications, including codes in groups 7304, 7305 and 7306.
