According to data, published by the National Chamber of ferrous metallurgy, the production of steel in Mexico amounted to 8 million 819 thousand tons in the first half of this year, decreasing by 1.2 percent compared to APPG-2012.
In the total amount of the metal rolling of 3 million 523 thousand tons is occupied by sheet steel (-7.7 percent to the APP) and 3 million 626 thousand tons of varietal rental (-2.6 percent to APPG). The release of a cold rolon grew by 7.7 percent compared to last year, to 1 million 383 thousand tons, hot -rolled decreased by 18.7 percent, to 1 million 142 thousand tons. In the varietal rental, the share of reinforcement amounted to 1 million 768 thousand tons, which is 0.7 percent more than in APPG and commercial profile - 160 thousand tons, which is 21 percent less than in APPG.
In June, the production of steel in Mexico fell by 10.3 percent compared to the previous month and 5.3 percent compared to the APG reached 1 million 338 thousand tons.
