The production of steel in Ukraine in August 2013 amounted to 2 million 806 thousand tons, which is 6.9 percent more than in APPG-2012 and 0.1 percent less than in the previous month. This is evidenced by the data of the associations of enterprises "Metallurgprom".
According to this organization, in January - August 2013, 22 million 156 thousand tons of steel (+0.7 percent to the APP), 19 million 455 thousand tons (+1.9 percent to the APPG) were melted with Ukrainian metallurgists, and the production of the metal rolling reduced to 19 million 596 thousand tons (-0.4 percent).
The average daily production of steel in Ukraine fell to 90.5 thousand tons, against 90.6 thousand tons in July and 90.9 thousand tons in June 2013.
