According to the data presented by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, in the first eight months of this year, Ukraine recorded a decrease by 0.4 percent of the production of finished steel products to 19.596 million tons. At the same time, production steel increased by 0.7 percent to 22.156 million tons and an increase of 1.9 percent in the production of cast iron to 19.455 million tons was registered. All results are given in comparison with the same period last year.
The production of metallurgical coke of the country during this period decreased by 8.4 percent in the annual calculus to 11.860 million tons. In August alone, 2.806 million tons of raw steel were produced in Ukraine, which is 0.1 lower compared to the previous month.
