Türkiye reduces the export of metal products

Over the eight months of this year, the exports of steel from Turkey decreased in natural terms by 5 percent in relation to the APPG -2012, to 14 million 670 thousand tons, and in monetary - by 10 percent, up to 9 billion 500 million US dollars. This was reported by the Turkish Association of Exporters by Turkey's Steel Exporters' Association (CIB).

The main consumer of the Turkish steel exports became the countries of the Middle East, which purchased 5 million 320 thousand tons of Turkish metal production, the second most important market of the market remained the European Union to which 1 million 920 thousand tons of steel was shipped and the third region became North Africa, which purchased 1 million 360 thousand tons of Turkish steel.

The greatest demand among buyers was reinforcing steel, the total export of which amounted to 5 million 670 thousand tons and a steel workpiece - 1 million 300 thousand tons. Next are steel pipes (1 million 230 thousand tons), steel metal structures (1 million 130 thousand tons) and a hot -rolled sheet (1 million 70 thousand tons).

In August 2013, Turkish export of metal products fell compared to APPG -2012 by 25.2 percent, to 1 million 270 thousand tons, compared with July - by 11.2 percent. In value terms, the August exports of metal products amounted to $ 953 million., Which is 13.4 percent lower than July and 25.3 percent below the level of APPG-2012.

In August, in the markets of the Middle East, Turkish exporters became 591 thousand tons of metal products, in the EU - 156 thousand tons, in North Africa - 145 thousand tons.
