Analysts of the Swiss financial conglomerate Credit Suisse note good prospects for the growth of the global steel market, which will pull up the prices of iron ore. Expert optimism applies to the long term: after a three-year decline, the metallurgical sector looks just like in 2003-2004 when a sharp increase in prices and consumption began at the end of the next fall cycle.
However, in the near future, a negative impact of various kinds of surprises can have: “We think that in 2015 the price of iron ore will increase by $ 60 - 70, but today the risks dominate and in September there may be a danger to resource industries associated with the seasonality of the steel market. At the same time, investors will be able to take advantage of the situation and buy inexpensive metallurgical raw materials at a low price, for the future. It seems that a little time remains before the recovery of the market, ”the Credit Suisse release says.
