Mariupol Metallurgical Plant named after Ilyich reduced the production of steel by 4.2 percent

In January - August 2013, the Mariupol Metallurgical Plant named after Ilyich (MMK named after Ilyich) of the group Metinvest reduced the production of steel by 4.2 percent, to 3 million 400 thousand tons compared to APPG -2012. At the same time, the production of cast iron increased by 5.7 percent, to 3 million 200 thousand tons, and the production of finished rental decreased by 5.8 percent, to 2 million 860 thousand tons.

In August, 370 thousand tons of metal rolling, 450 thousand tons of steel and 450 thousand tons of cast iron were manufactured at MMK named after Ilyich.

Recall that according to the results of 2012, MMK named after Ilyich reduced the production of steel by 16 percent, to 5 million 150 thousand tons, the production of finished rental decreased by 17 percent, to 4 million 329 thousand tons, and the manufacture of cast iron amounted to 4 million 517 thousand tons, which is 12.8 percent less than in 2011.

Since 2010, the Mariupol Metallurgical Plant of Ilyich has been part of the Metinvest group, the main shareholders of which are Capital Management Systems (71.25%) and the group of companies Smart-Holding (23.75%).

Among the main manufactured commodity products are flat rental and pipe from carbon, low alloy and alloy steels of various purposes: hot -rolled plates and thick sheets designed for the manufacture of trunk pipelines, sea vessels, vessels operating under pressure, bridge structures, other metal structures of the responsible purpose; Hot -rolled thick and thin sheets and stripes, including trained; cold -rolled, including galvanized thin ribbons, sheets and stripes, including for cold stamping, manufacturing of corrugated board, etc.
