Koksochemical plants of Ukraine abandon domestic coal

In January - August 2013, the coke -chemical plants of Ukraine purchased 11 percent less coal of domestic production. The total amount of Ukrainian coal received by the country's cokes was 9 million 100 thousand tons. This was reported to the OP "Metallurgprom".

The amount of imported coal received at the Koksochemical Plants of Ukraine in January - August 2013 amounted to 7 million 460 thousand tons, which is 5 percent less than in the APPG -2012.

The total number of coal coal entered the Ukrainian KHZ in January - August 2013 amounted to 16 million 560 thousand tons, which is 9 percent less than in the APPG -2012.

In August 2013, Ukrainian cokes purchased 1 million 90 thousand tons of domestic coal, which is 0.9 percent less than in the previous month. The import of coal coking in August compared to July was reduced by 5.9 percent, to 950 thousand tons.

The remnants of coking coal in the warehouses of Ukrainian KHZ in August did not change and on September 1 amounted to about 490 thousand tons.

In January-August 2013, cokesochemists reduced the supply of coke with metallurgists by 6 percent, to 9 million 140 thousand tons, while in August the supply was at the level of 1 million 200 thousand tons, which is 1.2 percent less with respect to July.

For August, the import of metallurgical coke amounted to 30 thousand tons, and in general, from the beginning of the year, Ukraine purchased more than 460 thousand tons of these products abroad compared to 130 thousand tons in the APPG-2012.

Given import supplies, the total intake of coke for metallurgical enterprises of Ukraine amounted to 9 million 600 thousand tons, which is 98 percent of the estimated balance sheet and corresponds to a fall of 3 percent to the APPG-2012.
