Today it became known that the Oktyabrsky metal distribution at the Cherepovets Metallurgical Plant of the Severstal group will cost 5-6 percent more.
The increase in prices is caused by rising demand in the domestic market of the Russian Federation and high loading of the capacity of the enterprise. In addition, Severstal Russian steel also increased the export prices of hot -rolled and cold -rolled metal.
The Cherepovets Metallurgical Plant is one of the largest in the world and the largest metallurgical plant with a full metallurgical cycle of Severstal. Founded in 1955. The plant is an enterprise, which includes more than 100 large technological units from the processing of iron ore materials and coal to deep -reduced units. Most of the steel produced at the Cherepovets Metallurgical Plant is used later for rental production in the form of sheet and varietal products, including hot and cold-rolled sheet, plates, rolls, hot-rolled profiles, cold-stamped style and pipes.
