Ukraine increased the production of manganese concentrate and reduced the production of ferroalloys - Ukrfa

According to the State Statistics Service, in January - August 2013, compared with the APPG -2012, Ukrainian enrichment plants increased the production of manganese concentrate by 12.2 percent, to 582 thousand tons, and the production of ferroalloys was reduced by 23 percent, to 551 thousand tons. This was reported by the Association of manufacturers of ferroalloys of Ukraine Ukrfa.

The Ordzhonikidze Mining Combine Plant (August) in January-August 2013 increased the production of manganese concentrate almost three times compared to APPG-2012, to 365 thousand tons. At the same time, the junction increased the production of manganese agglomerate double, to 153 thousand 100 tons.

The Marganetsky Mining and Processing Plant (MGOK) reduced the production of manganese concentrate by a third compared with the APPG-2012, to 323 thousand 900 tons.

The release of the Silkmarganz at the leading ferroalloy plants of Ukraine in January - August 2013 decreased by 15.8 percent, to 405 thousand 300 tons, Feromargansk - by 54.7 percent, to 55 thousand 700 tons, ferrosilication (in terms of 45 percent) - by 16.4 percent, up to 84 thousand 200 tons, Metal manganese - at 45.3.33.33.3 percent, up to 5 thousand 800 tons.

Zaporizhzhya and Stakhanovsky factories of ferroalloys (ZZF and HSF), as well as the button, were highlighted from December 1, 2012 to March 1, 2013.

Recall that in 2012, Ukraine increased the production of manganese concentrate by 6.9 percent, to 1 million 38 thousand 900 tons. At the same time, the production of ferroalloys compared to 2011 decreased by 13.8 percent, to 1 million 25 thousand 500 tons.

ZZF, HSF, MSU and Surrot are controlled by the Ukrainian Privatbank (Privat group, Dnepropetrovsk). The Nikopol Ferroalloy Plant is controlled by the Eastone group, created in the fall of 2007 as a result of the restructuring of the Interpipe group, as well as the Privat group (both Dnepropetrovsk).
