According to customs statistics published today by the Ministry of Revenue and Collection of Ukraine, income from ferrous metals exports in January - August 2013 decreased by 11 percent compared to APPG -2012, to 9 billion 614 million 664 thousand US dollars.
The total share of foreign exchange earnings from the trade in ferrous metallurgy products remained almost at the level of last year, amounting to 23.39 percent compared to 23.91 percent in the APPG-2012.
In August 2013, the revenue from the trade in ferrous metals in Ukraine amounted to 1 billion 37 million 404 thousand dollars, decreasing by 205 million 924 thousand US dollars or 16.5 percent compared to the previous month.
In January - August 2013, the revenues from the export of metal products amounted to 1 billion 831 million 145 thousand US dollars, which is 5.4 percent less than in the APPG -2012. Including in August, income from sales of ferrous metal products 227 million 385 thousand US dollars was received.
Recall that in 2012, Ukraine reduced the revenue from the export of ferrous metals by 17 percent and reduced income from the trade in products from them by 0.5 percent.
