In Donetsk, they are preparing to launch two large metallurgical products

By the end of the year, Donetsk is expected to resume the work of two metallurgical industries: DEMZ and Donetsstal -DMZ PJSC JSC. This was told at a press conference by the mayor of Donetsk, Alexander Lukyanchenko. According to him, the new owner of the Donetsk electrometallurgical plant (DEMZ) began preparatory work to launch the enterprise. The city head hopes that by the end of September, trial swimming trunks will be carried out.

Recall that in August 2013, JSC DEMZ was sold to Russian entrepreneur Vadim Varshavsky for a nominal amount of 2 thousand euros. The operational department of the plant was transferred to Warsaw. According to the Donetsk city head, the new owner of DEMZ replaced the former head of the enterprise, Gennady Ovchinnikov, appointed to the post of director in June 2013. Now the position of director of the plant was again taken by Anatoly Ivantsov, who headed the enterprise for two years since July 2011.

Lukyanchenko also announced the access to the finish direct reconstruction of steel production at Donetskstal -DMZ PJSC. According to the mayor, it is planned to start the launch of the main units and redistributions at the enterprise after October 15. After that, a hot testing of all steel production will be made. In addition, as the first deputy chairman of the Donetsk administration, Sergei Dergunov, said, a project to create a modern rental complex is being prepared for the “Donetskstal -DMZ”. The mayor of Donetsk expressed the hope that the site would begin work until the end of this year.
