According to preliminary statistical data provided by the Turkish Institute of Statistics (TUIK) and the Turkish Customs Customs, in the first eight months of 2013, the total cost of importing metal products amounted to 12 billion 200 million US dollars, which is 9 percent less than in the APPG-2012. At the same time, the import of products from ferrous metals amounted to 1 billion 820 million US dollars, which is 22.7 percent higher than in the APPG-2012.
In August 2013, the import of Chugun and steel from Turkey amounted to 1 billion 300 million US dollars, declining by 10.6 percent in an annual comparison and 19.1 percent compared to the previous month.
Cast iron and steel take third place in the list of the most popular Turkish goods imported from the country in August this year.
