Today in Minsk, the business seminar “The market for the production and consumption of metals in the Republic of Belarus” was launched at which the head of the trade department of the Belarusian universal commodity exchange Yevgeny Bureko convinced the President of the Russian Union of Metal Products of Alexander Romanov to increase the volumes of trading in Russian metal production in electronic form. This was reported by the magazine "Metal Supply and Sales".
"The main goal of these measures is the propaganda of electronic trading of metal products as one of the methods for the purchase of goods and services. This is a great advantage over paper trading, competitive procedures, paper, tender. These are modern, progressive technologies," the representative of Belarus emphasized.
According to Yevgeny Bureko, the trade in the metal rolling takes about 50 percent of the volumes of all operations of the exchange. “This is the main type of product that is traded in our regular mode, daily through ferrous metals and twice a week - in non -colored,” he emphasized.
From the total volume of metal consumed by Belarusian companies, which is more than 2 million tons, 20 percent is purchased at electronic auction. “We want to increase this ratio,” Bureko said.
In turn, the President of the RPSM assured that Russian metallurgy is interested in the Belarusian market. "Since Belarus does not produce leaf rental, does not produce a number of types of structural steel, a number of other types of metal products, and the country's need is more than two million tons, cooperation is simply objectively necessary," said Alexander Romanov.
Recall that this year, the metallurgical companies of Belarus increased sales to the Russian Federation by 40 percent, almost catching up with Ukraine. The main products of Belarus were reinforcing and katanka exported from Belarus.
